Tailgating 101: Your Ultimate Guide to the Best Tailgating Experience

April 29, 2019 by ron@laddergadget.com

Tailgating is a great way to hang out and relax before the game. Whether it’s football or another favorite sport, you want to make sure your tailgating experience is unforgettable for all the right reasons. Check out our ultimate guide to great tailgating and learn how an RV ladder gadget can help you score big.

Tailgating: Bratwurst or Sausage On The Grill At Tailgate Party

Timing Is Everything

Available real estate will fill up—and fast—so take the time to check out the tailgating space well before the big day. If it’s at a college, check with the school; they might be able to suggest alternatives or have a lottery you can enter to win a sweet spot.

Every venue will have its own set of tailgating rules they expect you to follow, so check for this info as well. Planning according to the venue’s regulations will make it a lot easier for you and everyone to enjoy the party.

Food and Games

Grilled sausage, steaks, burgers, and dogs are tailgating party staples, as are veggies and dip, chips, and pretzels. Having plenty of water handy will keep everyone hydrated—and don’t forget the potato salad! The more you prep beforehand, the more partying you can do later.

Games are great for passing the time. Enjoy a game of two-on-two spikeball or give cornhole a try. Ladder golf is another favorite way to play, and it’s convenient, leaving one hand free for holding your food and drink of choice.

If music is allowed, a high-energy playlist can add plenty of pre-game excitement. Go old-school with classic rock and anthems from the 80s and 90s and throw in a pinch of modern pop. Or, do a search for tailgating playlists and get your inspiration from there.

Team Spirit

Your tailgating party is a time to represent. Depending on where the party is at, showing your team spirit can win you some pretty cool prizes, so wearing your team colors and gear and decking out your party space to match are all great ideas.

Team flags will be everywhere, so you’ll definitely want to fly yours where it will be seen. A good way to hang your flag is with an RV hanger. However,

if you’re doing that, you might want to use your ladder beforehand if you need to, because most RV hangers get in the way. At least, until now.

What if there was a way to fly your flag high and access your RV ladder too? There is; it’s called Ladder Gadget, and it’s the handiest RV gadget ever. This sturdy RV accessory installs at the side of your ladder, letting you display your team colors while keeping the steps clear.

Yet, that’s only one of many ways to use Ladder Gadget. It’s also great when camping to hang bird feeders, backpacks, towels, and much more. When you’re done, just fold and lock. This RV accessory is a must-have for your next tailgating party; visit our site to learn more.

Here’s How to Make the Most of Your Summer RV Trip

April 28, 2019 by ron@laddergadget.com

With RV season just around the corner, you’re probably starting to plan your summer vacation. Whether it’s your first time or you’ve done it before, there are many ways to make the most of your RV adventure. Here are a few of the easiest and best, including a must-have RV ladder gadget.

Know Where You’re Going and When

Planning your RV trip is really the first step to ensuring that your vacation goes as smoothly as possible. Short driving days will allow for sufficient rest and allow everyone to enjoy local attractions. Once you’ve outlined your route, you can plan for stops along the way, which leads us to the next tip.

Have a Budget in Place

Now that you know where you’re headed and where you plan to stop, you can start planning your budget. In addition to traveling distance, your RV’s weight and size will also be factors in terms of fuel use. If you plan to stop at restaurants, you’ll want to include this cost in your budget as well.

Ensuring there are some healthy snacks on board can help tide the whole family over until the next rest stop, as well as save you money.

Make RV Life Easier with These Hacks and Accessories

With space at a premium, it can help to use square containers to store items, as these take up less room. A shoe organizer can be a great way to store shower items, and clothespins can have multiple uses, including closing chip bags.

Plastic dishes, cutlery, and cups make for light storage, and there’s no worry about having to clean up shattered glass. Rope is the RV-er’s best friend, ideal for many things, including holding cabinets closed.

Because many RV parks don’t allow guests to hang their wet towels, bathing suits, and other items on their trees and fences, families are often left with no choice but to try to use rope, which may not offer needed space or the weight-handling ability they need.

RV hangers are a great option. Unfortunately, they also render your RV ladder unusable until the hanger is removed. Bumper hangers can be awkward, not to mention unsightly. Yet, there is a solution that not only looks great and lasts, but which allows for full use of your ladder.

The Handiest RV Gadget Ever

Install as many as you’d like for loads of hanging space that always looks organized and, when you’re ready to roll, simply lower them into a locked travel position. It’s that easy! Visit us today, and you’ll discover why so many RV owners simply refuse to go on vacation without this RV accessory.

The Ladder Gadget – Who We Serve

April 23, 2019 by ron@laddergadget.com

Who We Are — Who We Serve

If you’re planning to hit the road in an RV this year, then you’re joining millions of others in the U.S. who enjoy this lifestyle. Whether it’s your first time or not, there are some RV accessories you should never be without during your trip, and a Ladder Gadget is definitely one of them. Yet who are these company owners, anyway? And who do we work so hard for? Read on to find out.

It All Began with a Tent Trailer

Long before we invented the Ladder Gadget, we were parents of young children who joined us in our Suburban as we towed our humble tent trailer behind it. Inevitably, our kids got older and, as they became teenagers, they weren’t as interested in hanging out with Mom and Dad so much anymore. Yup, it took us by surprise too!

With the kids no longer accompanying us on our road trips, we invested in a smaller, truck-mounted camper. Unfortunately, our dog became tired of having to share such a small space with us, so we had no choice but to upgrade—and what an upgrade it was! Our travel experience changed completely when we bought an 11½-foot truck camper.

Our love of dogs inspired us to expand our furbaby family to two canines, and, today, we are cruising in a Class A RV that we absolutely adore. Over so many years of change with our travel vehicles and our human and canine families, we experienced a wide variety of exciting places, enjoying all manners of delicious fare, and making many new friendships along the way, and we still do. Yet, even with everything that changed, one thing didn’t.

We Did Our Best

If you’ve been RVing for a while, you know what it’s like; as self-contained as you are, sometimes you just have to make do. That’s what we did with a lot of things in the beginning, but we became more innovative as time went on.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t an RV accessory to hang items in a neat and organized manner. Instead, we threw our wet towels, bathing suits, and everything else that should have a proper hanger on anything we could think of.

Granted, it did make our campsite look lived-in, but not in the most positive way. When we arrived at parks that didn’t allow the hanging of items on their fences and trees, we were even more out of luck for hanging spots.

As a result, we simply had to deal with the fact that, sometimes, our items wouldn’t be usable when we needed them, and the other items we wanted to hang, like bird feeders, would simply have to wait until the next stop.

By this time, RV hangers had been on the market for a while but finding one that looked attractive or which didn’t interfere with our access to the RV ladder was impossible. Add to that the fact that so many hangers would only last for a season or two, and we’d had enough. That’s when we decided to design Ladder Gadget, an incredibly durable and versatile product that lets you attractively hang all sorts of items from your RV ladder without losing access to it.

We Built Ladder Gadget to Last and Look Great

Our product is built using 6061 aluminum. This material is used in the building of yachts, SCUBA tanks, and automotive parts. Simply put, it’s built not only to last but to outlast the life of your RV.

Along with its unparalleled durability, Ladder Gadget’s simple yet incredibly practical construction looks great when it’s installed. As well, it can be installed in just five steps and, when you aren’t using it, you just fold Ladder Gadget down and lock it into travel position.

It’s the way this RV accessory sits on your ladder that makes it such a must-have. Because it installs on either side of the ladder, Ladder Gadget will leave your steps clear. Choose silver or black finish and, when folded down, this incredibly versatile product will look practically invisible and also like it came with your RV.

What Can You Do with Ladder Gadget?

Okay, so now you know what Ladder Gadget is really made of, how easy it is to install, and how great it looks—but what about what you can use it for? To be honest, you can use your Ladder Gadget for just about anything you can think of.

Keep the Kids (and Adults) Entertained

We know that kids love their handheld devices. While you can’t eliminate them completely on your trip, you can attract their attention to the nature around them when you hang one or more bird feeders on your Ladder Gadget. Get the kids to use online field guides to identify the birds who visit your feeders.

Another great way to add fun and games is by hanging a dartboard on your Ladder Gadget. With several different holes and hooks for mounting and hanging, our product can hold a dartboard safely and securely until you take it down.

Hang Towels, Bathing Suits, and Much More

Your Ladder Gadget is like a mini clothesline, but much better. The days of draping wet items on the nearest branch or bush or trying to hang them on a rope clothesline are over. Instead, use the holes and hooks to put items on hangers—and, voila! You have an outdoor drying station.

Because you can hang wet items on hangers or right over Ladder Gadget, you never have to worry about items not being dry; the breeze can reach both sides of towels and garments.

You’ll also find that this product can help you prepare for your fishing or hiking excursion; backpacks, hip waders, hiking boots, and lanterns are neatly and easily stored over the top of or hanging from Ladder Gadget.

If you’re heading to a tailgating party, Ladder Gadget can help you show your team spirit. Just slip your flag pocket over the holes or use the holes to attach your flag’s D rings. At the campsite or RV park, you can hang a family or fun message flag.

You can even hang a colorful wind spinner or wind chime to decorate your temporary home. No matter what you choose, Ladder Gadget is the only one of all the RV accessories that will help you beautify your campsite.

A Great Addition to Any Outdoor Kitchen

Ladder Gadget can also be a great way to hang your kitchen utensils or cleaning supplies. Just attach S-hooks and hang spatulas, grill cleaners, dish towels, scrubbers and more. No more having to search for a spot for your cooking and cleaning items; it’ll all be right there when you need it.

No Matter Where You Roam, Ladder Gadget Is There

RVing in the U.S. offers you the choice of more than 18,000 privately owned and public campgrounds. That means whether you choose the lap of luxury at an RV resort or prefer to get back to nature at a public site, Ladder Gadget has you covered.

No matter what you choose to hang on this RV accessory, you’ll know it’ll always look neat and organized. There’s no doubt that Ladder Gadget will attract all the right kinds of attention from your park neighbors.

If You Own an RV, Ladder Gadget Can Work for You

We love RVing, which is why we love to serve the RV community. You may be a young family who is trying the RV lifestyle for the first time or you may be experienced empty-nesters who are eager for another adventure and all that this beautiful country has to offer. You may prefer lots of amenities in your RV or the simplicity of a bohemian traveling experience.

No matter what kind of RV traveler you are, Ladder Gadget will do whatever you need it to. Check our site for more information about this innovative RV ladder accessory.
